My paint code says "tri-coat." What does this mean?

If your color says tri-coat, this means it is a 3-step process. You will receive two separate aerosol cans: 1 can of base color, which is the first layer of the tricoat, and 1 can of pearl/candy color, which is the second layer of the tricoat. The third step of the process is clear coat, which is the final layer. There are no exceptions to this. For each base-color aerosol, a pearl-coat aerosol and clearcoat aerosol must accompany it.

Ensure application of this product takes place in an area with adequate ventilation, and that respirator masks and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are worn.
